About Us

Harsch Land Development, LLC

At Harsch Land Development, LLC, we don’t just clear land — we own it, work it, and live it. We’re a family-owned, hands-on operation based in Grand Island, New York, serving Western New York with real results you can see and trust. Owned and operated by Mark Harsch and his wife Jolyne, our story starts on our own farm — Harsch’s Island Acres Farm — where we raise chickens, pigs, beef cattle, and turkeys. We know what hard work is because we live it every single day. When we moved to our farm, years of overgrown brush and tangled trees were waiting for us. After spending way too much money renting a skid steer with a forestry mulcher, we said: enough. We bought our own machine and got to work — and that’s how Harsch Land Development was born.

What started as clearing our own property quickly became helping neighbors. From that first skid steer to our fully upgraded brush hogs and Harley rake, we’ve built a business rooted in experience, equipment, and results. We create: • Beautiful trails for hunting or access • Food plots and clearings for deer and turkey • Level barnyards and overgrown yards • Clean, usable land for homes or farms And now, we’re proud to provide commercial snow plowing services throughout Grand Island and beyond. Our goal is simple: leave every property better than we found it.

About Us

A True Family Operation

Mark runs the field operations, handling the machines, grading, and clearing. Jolyne manages the office, schedules, and estimates. Together, we run every project, ensuring hands-on attention and accountability. We’re raising four kids — Maddie, Emery, Lizzie, and Marky — right here on our farm. The three girls play travel hockey for the West Seneca Wings, and Mark proudly coaches the younger two. When we’re not working, you’ll find us outdoors hunting, riding four-wheelers, side-by-sides, or snowmobiles — because the outdoors isn’t just our workplace; it’s our way of life. Mark has been hunting with his Father since he turned of age in Allegheny County and continues the tradition here in Grand Island — deer and turkey, bow or shotgun. We know land, wildlife, and how to manage property responsibly.
